What are your artwork requirements?

To avoid extra charges related to art, please ensure that your files are either:

  • Adobe Illustrator (.ai or .eps) vector artwork
  • Corel DRAW (.cdr) vector artwork

Please remember to convert your text to curves / outlines (Illustrator / CorelDRAW).

Non Vector artwork can also be used but must be clean and either camera ready or in a colour separated PDF format. Camera ready is defined as black & white, colour separated 600 DPI (or higher) artwork.

Examples of non-vector artwork that are NOT camera ready:

· photographs
· photocopies
· faxed art
· gifs
· powerpoint (.ppt or .pps)
· letterhead
· business cards
· jpegs
· word documents (.doc)(.wdp).

What is vector and non-vector artwork?

Vector artwork is created on the computer using software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, etc.

Vector artwork allows the artist to manipulate the artwork. For instance, if the logo needs to be enlarged, the artist can do so without it affecting the quality of the artwork.

Vector artwork IS NOT a jpeg or gif file imported into Corel or Illustrator and saved as a cdr, ai or eps file.

Non-vector artwork is one flat element that can't be changed in any way. If the logo needs to be made larger, the artist can do so BUT it will affect the quality of the artwork. Non-vector requires separation into camera ready artwork or needs to be provided as a colour separated PDF.

Art charges will be assessed @ $25/hour (CAD$) for non-vector artwork that has not been separated and made camera ready.

Do use the PMS (Pantone) colour matching system?

Yes. However, it is difficult to guarantee a 100% exact colour match, as printing on promotional products (golf shirts, pens, T-shirts, coffee mugs) is not the same as printing on paper.

In certain instances, there is a PMS surcharge if we have to mix the exact pantone colour for your order.

Is there a minimum order?

15 units is the minimum order for EMBROIDERY or SILK SCREENING on clothing, baseball caps, and bags.

The minimum order for "promotional products" like mugs, key chains, pens, etc can be higher. Depending on the item, minimums range from 25 units to 200 units. Please check with customer service to confirm the minimum quantity on your order.
